And your final sentence the society pretty much lucked out on this one and now your point is?

maybe i'm just messed up, but i get really freaked out sometimes.
i can't understand the bible,.....in some places it seems like it's saying all you have to do is one or two things, then it seems like it's saying you have to do different things to be saved.... so many different people and religions have so many different takes on the bible.
i don't know which to beleive, and it scares me that if i beleived the wrong thing that i could go to hell, or just go to sleep forever as the witnesses say.

SS:
Men today are not able to do miracles as Jesus did. That was for a limited time for a certain purpose. You remind me of the ones who criticized Jesus when he was dying on the stake. They said if he could do such miracles, why didn't he help hinself.
Acolytes is not a scriptural word so really can't apply here.

I'm telling you tonight, I will see you tomorrow. (common enough expression).
My point is, I'm telling you something tonight. Jesus was telling the robber something that day. As far as that goes, Jesus never did say when he'd see the robber in paradise, just that he would see him there.

Actually it does fit as Jesus was able to say what would happen the next day. We are making reference to him and his use of the word 'today'. My words are just an example.

I'm quite sure what you are refering to ( the thoughts of the afterlife at that time)
but will let you elaborate.

Poor 'for instance ' on my part as I am posting and telling you tonight.
"I'm telling you tonight, it will rain tomorrow." (for instance').

Jez:
No need to swear at me.
Eve was the female (person) that God created. She was created as a compliment and helper for Adam. The scriptures say women are to be in subjection to their husbands as men are in subjection to Christ. Christ is in subjection to God. That is the order of it and not accepting it is not accepting God's ways. Isn't it great that God gave us all the right to choose? He doesn't try to stop you or anyone else from believing anything they want.

I'll give you a 'for instance'. Tonight, I am posting on this site. Does that mean there is some deep, mysterious reason I used the word tonight? I used a comma too.

You are welcome to believe your own version of the way the scriptures are written. I was just showing how it is written in the bible.

In Sherry's comments( paragraph 4), above mine, is what I'm refering to. She felt that Jesus was saying that they would be in paradise that day.
